I. A Brief introduction to SIBA

Zhejiang International Studies University (ZISU), founded in 1955 and situated near West Lake (world historical relics), is a prestigious academic institution run by Zhejiang Provincial Government.

Based in Zhejiang Province and serving the whole nation, ZISU is committed to building itself into a distinctive multidisciplinary institution of higher learning with recognized strength in international studies and high-quality teaching. It aims to become an important regional center for nurturing talents with multicultural awareness and practical competence, and for training teachers for schools of various levels, while active in international education exchange and extensive research on foreign languages, culture and international economy and trade.

School of International Business Administration (SIBA), as the biggest school of ZISU, has a total number of 2000 students, offers bachelor and certificate programs of International Economics and Trade, International Business, Financial Management, Accounting, Tourism Management, and Business Management.

II. Program Description

1.All courses will be instructed in English.

2.With completion of 147 credits required, students will be granted Bachelor Degree of Economics, majoring in International Economy and Trade (Chinese Business).

3.Normally the study will last 4 years.

4.Featured courses include Chinese Business Cultures and Etiquettes, Market Research and Development in China, Business Environment in China, SMEs’ Management in China, EDZs and FTZs in China, Business Administration Communication in China, and E-Commerce Management in China.

5.The academic year is divided into two semesters, an autumn semester and a spring semester. The autumn semester starts from September and ends in mid January. The spring semester starts in early or mid February and finishes in end of June. Each academic year there are two vacations: the summer one lasts for two month from July to August, and the winter one, in which China’s Spring Festival falls, usually lasts for 4 weeks.
