Department of Husbandry and Veterinary

Department of husbandry and veterinary was set up in 1960, the traditional advantage profession in the college. According to the requirement of talents in modern animal husbandry, the reforms have been done on agricultural vocational education system aimed at vocational ability, which won the first prize in the educational and teaching reform by Ministry of Agriculture. The department includes five majors: animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, animal medicine, veterinarian and veterinary drugs, pet feeding and disease prevention, and laboratory animal techniques. The teachers in the department are very qualified. There are 54 faculty members, including 4 professors, 3 extension professors, 15 associate professors, 1 post doctor, 4 teachers with doctor degree and 32 with master degree. In recent years professional teachers published more than 500 academic articles in national academic publications and 90 professional books. Most professional teachers also work as technical director or consultant in relevant enterprise and field.
